I have an indoor/outdoor cat named Whiskers who likes to bring me “presents”. Sometimes he’ll bring me the occasional field mouse or a preying mantis, but he mostly brings me birds, dead birds. However, on two separate occasions he brought me birds that were alive! I had to run around the house with an oven mitt trying to catch the feathery friend. But it was well worth it because I felt like a magician when I went outside to release him.
