Last year, my girlfriend bought me a birdcage for Christmas. I don't own a bird, nor have I ever expressed interest in becoming a bird owner. Intrigued. I hung the cage up, figuring and hoping that maybe a bird would wander in and set up residency. Maybe start a family? Maybe get away from a family? No takers yet. Just a few vagrants, nothing serious. However, I’m still hopeful.
