-Just wanted to let you know that I’ll be part of the group show Collabro down in San Jose this weekend at Gallery Anno Domini. The concept behind the show is awesome. It’s basically a bunch of artists who collaborated with at least one other artist to create a piece together. I went by the gallery while they were in the middle of hanging it, and there are some amazing pieces there. I worked with my friend Lucien Shapiro who is primarily a sculptor. After a heavy night of drinking and playing Dead Rising we started working on the piece I have pictured below. I really like how it came out and hopefully we can do more projects in the future.

-I just finished my first art book! This book is 36 full color pages of illustrations that I completed in the past year. Check out some of the sample pages below, and pick one up in the Store section!

- I also just got back from Comic-Con a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to everyone who came by and said “hi”. It’s always nice to see old faces and meet some new ones too.

-This weekend I'll be debuting my brand new art book at the San Diego Comic-Convention. Play With Knives will be at Booth O4 in the Small Press section. In addition to the book, I'll have t-shirts, past comics, and new high-quality art prints for sale, so put down your sister's Pokemon cards and check it out!

-I updated the “Shows” page with a bunch of pictures from Fangoria. I saw some cool shit there including; a 3 foot zombie, Reptile from “Just One of the Guys”, and Richard Moll’s very large V-neck shirt. I also met two Mikes and one Arissa who run a very funny and very informative horror podcast at http://www.reelhorror.com If you like horror, laughter and self improvement, go over there and check them out.

-Recently I did the CD art for Murder Practice. They’re a West Coast hardcore band that sounds fucking brutal. I put their CD up in my store section for only $10, and if you get one, I’ll throw in a comic for free. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/murderpractice

-I’m working on a new art book that will be done in about a month. The posters in the “store” are a small preview of some of the new work that will be included in the book. I’ll defiantly have it ready for Comic-Con in July, where I’ll be sharing a couple of tables in the small press area with Jon Wayshak, Brad Isdrab, Lucien Shapiro, and Sean Anders. Fuck yea!

So here it is, new site is up. Huge thanks to Marissa D. for working so hard on all the coding and technical stuff. Its been while since I last updated, so let me tell you what’s been going on lately. I was asked to take part in a couple art shows up here in Northern California. The first show was a themed show called “Fractured Faire Tales”. I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:
The second show was called “The Puppet Show”, another themed show at the same gallery.
I’m also expanding my t-shirt line with a few more designs. The store is down right now, as we are still setting up a legit authorized credit card processor. I’m working with the fine folks over at WickedCrib, and we should have some sort of working store up within the next week or so. But I can show you a couple of the designs for now:
I also just started working on my next book that I will have finished for the APE show in April. Here is a sneak peak of some unfinished drawings I have for that.
Also, I get a lot of emails from people asking me how I approach and execute some of my drawings. In the “Info” section I have posted a step-by-step tutorial for two of my drawings. One done in Photoshop, and one done with just pen and ink.
While cleaning out my house I found a few old banners that I got made for comic shows in the past. I plan on getting some new banners made this year, so I figure I’ll just put the old ones on Ebay. Here is my ebay store with the banners on it. I’ll also sign them and toss in some comics for whoever wins.

Well, that’s it for now. There is still a lot to add to the new site, so be sure to check it out often for any updates. And if there is anything that’s not on the site that you would like to see up, please email me and give me some ideas.
